Traditional Birthplace of Minamoto no Yoritomo

An area traditionally said to be the birthplace of Minamoto no Yoritomo. His mother is said to have come from the Ōgūji family of Atsuta Shrine, making Atsuta an important place in the story of Yoritomo’s origins (this is a tradition, and accounts vary).
