神奈川県箱根町湯本405

A Rinzai Zen temple on a hillside overlooking the hot-spring town of Hakone-Yumoto, built in 1521 by Hojo Ujitsuna in accordance with the will of his father, Hojo Soun. The temple grounds hold the graves of five generations of Later Hojo lords. During the 1590 siege of Odawara, Toyotomi Hideyoshi made it his headquarters, and the temple was burned as a result.
